TRADE SHOW STRATEGIES
1. Plan
It is essential to plan your trade show. Attend shows that are related to your business. Check with your industry association for schedule. Schedules are also most likely posted on the web site.
2. Prepare
It is important to prepare and have your marketing materials ready beforehand. These materials include brochures / flyers / handouts, specialty items / promotional products, and displays.
3. Present
At the show, present your services with prestige. Arrive early and make sure that your materials are set up correctly and properly. If within budget, give product demonstrations. Take time to explain what your company and product does to people who seem interested. Don't forget to give promotional items and smile.
4. Pursue
After the show, pursue and follow-up or reconnect with the leads that you generated. If you agreed to send additional materials or samples, keep your word and do so promptly. Consider e-blasts, faxes, postcards, personal phone calls, coupons, and newsletters. Do not overwhelm your contacts too but note what kind of technique gets the best response.
